Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to the questions we hear most often.

Is registration on Clasora platform as a tutor free?

Yes, registration on the Clasora platform is completely free. You can register and post ads for your lessons and classes without any costs. There are no additional cost associated with using the platform, answering the students questions, hold lessons, sharing contact details freely and more.

Is creating an ad for lesson free on Clasora Platform?

Yes, creating an ad on the Clasora platform is free. You can freely post ads for your lessons without any costs.

Does Clasora charge a commission for lessons?

No, the Clasora platform does not charge a commission for lessons. You and the student arrange all details directly without additional costs for the platform.

Which subjects can I teach?

On the Clasora platform, you can teach any subject in which you have expertise and experience. You can view the list of subjects here. If the subject you teach is not on the list, you can request that we add it.

What do I need to create a lesson?

Have this ready before you start, because a lesson cannot be submitted without it:

the subject you teach, chosen from our list

at least one language you teach in

a title

a showcase: two or three sentences on what makes your lesson worth taking, between 50 and 500 characters

an introduction to the lesson itself, at least 100 characters

an about-me covering your background and experience, at least 50 characters

whether you teach online, in person, or both

a currency, the session lengths you offer, and a price for each one

A short video introducing yourself is optional and worth doing: it is the fastest way for a student to decide you are the right tutor. You can also offer a free first session. Your work is saved as you go, so you can stop and finish later. When you submit, an administrator reviews the lesson before it goes live.

How can I quickly get approval for my new lesson service?

To quickly get approval for your profile, make sure all required information is accurate and complete. Use a real photo of yourself, record a short video if possible, and provide a detailed description of your teaching experience in Profile section. Ensure you have provided all requested information and that it complies with the platform's rules and requirements. Avoid including contact details or misleading information in your description and video. If such information is present, we will ask you to remove it, which may slow down the approval process. A sure way to get approval is to follow the tips provided at each step of the registration process. If you have additional questions or need assistance, contact our support team via email or other available channels.

How do I get verified as a tutor?

Open Settings, then Profile, and find Credentials. Fill in your education history first, where you studied, what you studied and when. Then attach at least one document that backs it up: a diploma or degree certificate, a transcript, a teaching certificate, a professional licence, photo ID, or anything else that proves your qualification. PDF, JPEG, PNG and WebP are accepted, up to 10 MB per file.

An administrator checks the documents against what you wrote and then deletes them. They are kept only for as long as the review takes, they are never shown to students, and nobody can download them again afterwards. Once approved, your Credentials section reads as verified, and a verified account counts for more in the order lessons appear in search results. If something is not accepted you are told why and can submit again.

Badges are a separate thing: the Clasora team awards them, and they appear on your public profile.

How can I contact students?

When a student expresses interest in your lessons, you will receive a notification via email. All further communications and arrangements are made directly between you and the student through the platform.

How do I create an account?

Pick Register on the login page. You can use an email address and a password, or sign in with Google. We then ask for your first and last name, and for a phone number, which you confirm with a code sent by SMS. Once the code is accepted your account is ready.

I signed up with Google. Can I also sign in with a password?

Yes. On the login page choose Forgot password and enter the address your Google account uses. We send a link that is valid for one hour, and the password you set there works straight away. Signing in with Google keeps working too.

Why do you ask for my phone number?

A confirmed number is the last step of registration, and a number can belong to only one account. That keeps duplicate and throwaway accounts off the platform, which matters to everyone teaching and studying here. The code arrives by SMS and is valid for five minutes.

The verification email or the SMS code has not arrived. What should I do?

Check your spam folder, then ask for a new one. A verification link is valid for 24 hours, an SMS code for five minutes, and asking for a new code cancels the previous one, so always use the latest. After several attempts in a row, wait about fifteen minutes: we limit repeated tries to protect the account.

Do I have to verify my email address?

You can use your account without it, but verify it anyway. A verified email and phone are part of how far the platform trusts an account, and that trust is one of the things deciding where your lessons appear in search results. If your link has expired, the page it opens has a button to send a new one.

I registered as a student. How do I start teaching?

Open Settings and choose Become a tutor. You keep the same account, and lessons, availability and payout details become available once the change is made. It goes one way only: you cannot turn yourself back into a student account, so read the confirmation before accepting it.

What languages is Clasora available in?

The site, your dashboard and the messages we send you are available in thirteen languages: English, Spanish, Arabic, Serbian, German, French, Polish, Russian, Slovenian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Korean and Japanese. Pick yours in the Accessibility panel at the bottom of the menu. Everything follows it, including messages sent while you are away, such as a reminder before a session. Arabic is laid out right to left.

The language you teach in is a separate choice. Each lesson lists its own, from 188 of them, so you can teach in a language the site itself is not translated into.

What can I do in a Clasora video lesson?

Lessons run in your browser. There is nothing to install and no meeting link to pass around: you open your conversation with the student and start the call.

During a call you can:

share your screen, for slides, a worked example, or the application you are teaching

switch between grid and sidebar layouts, or pin one person to the main tile

blur your background

raise your hand and send a reaction, without cutting across whoever is speaking

chat beside the video, so a link or a correction does not have to be dictated

choose which microphone, speaker and camera to use, and change device without leaving the call

go full screen, and work from the keyboard: microphone, camera, hand, layout and full screen all have shortcuts

turn on high contrast, larger controls or reduced motion

A classroom holds more than two people, so group lessons work the same way, and the tutor admits each person as they ask to join. If your camera or microphone is missing or blocked, you can still join with audio only. When a direct connection is blocked the call goes through a relay instead, which is what makes it work on school and office networks. Every call you have taken is listed under Calls.

I forgot my password. How do I get back in?

Choose Forgot password on the login page and enter your email address. The link is valid for one hour and works once. Setting a new password also ends every session you have open, on every device, so sign in again afterwards.

How do I change my password?

Go to Settings, then Security, and choose Change password. You need your current password to set a new one. If you think someone else has been in your account, use Forgot password on the login page instead, because that also signs out every device.

How do I turn on two-factor authentication?

Settings, then Security. You can add an authenticator app, which gives you a six digit code, or a passkey, which uses your device's fingerprint, face or PIN. Add both if you can. There are no printed backup codes, so a second method is what gets you in when you lose your phone. If you lose every method, contact support.

How do I change my email address?

Open Settings, then Profile, and choose Change next to your email address. The code goes to the new address rather than the old one, and is valid for ten minutes. Once you enter it the new address is in use and already verified. An address another account uses cannot be taken.

How do I change my phone number?

Same place: Settings, then Profile, and Change next to your phone number. The code goes to the new number by SMS and is valid for five minutes. A number another account uses cannot be taken.

Can I stop people I have never spoken to from messaging me?

Yes. On your services page there is a switch called Let people message you. With it off, nobody new can start a conversation. Conversations you are already in carry on, and anyone who books a session can still reach you.

Can I keep my lessons out of Google?

Yes. On your services page, turn on the setting that keeps your pages out of search engines. They are then asked to leave your pages out of their results. Nothing changes on Clasora: students still find you through browsing and search here exactly as before.

Which emails can I switch off?

Settings, then Notifications, lists every kind of message and the ways it can reach you. A few cannot be switched off, because they confirm something you just did or protect your account, and those are marked. Product news is off until you switch it on, and those emails carry an unsubscribe link.

How do I download a copy of my data?

Settings, then Profile, then Download your data. The file is JSON and holds your profile, bookings, payments, the messages you sent, your files and your settings. You can download it up to three times an hour.

How do I delete my account?

Settings, then Profile, then Delete your account. You confirm with your password, or with a code we email you if you sign in with Google, and by typing DELETE. Nothing is erased for thirty days, and until then you can log in and press Cancel deletion.

After that your personal details are erased. Your name becomes Deleted user, the messages you sent are replaced with [deleted], and reviews you wrote stay online but no longer show who wrote them, because other students rely on them to choose a tutor. Your email address and phone number are freed, so you can register with them again later.

One thing to finish first: an account with a session still booked, a dispute open, or money still moving cannot be deleted until those are settled.

What accessibility options does Clasora have?

The Accessibility panel at the bottom of the dashboard menu sets the text size, switches between a light and a dark theme or follows whatever your system uses, and changes the language. Arabic is laid out right to left throughout the site.

A video lesson has more: high contrast, larger controls, and reduced motion for anyone who finds movement uncomfortable. Everything you need mid-lesson has a keyboard shortcut, microphone, camera, raise hand, layout and full screen, so nothing depends on hitting a small button. You can also join a lesson with audio only.

If something gets in your way, tell us through Support. We would rather hear about it.
